A new song to share with you

Last summer, I invited you to submit ideas or subjects that could inspire my next composition.  The majority of the submissions were about the importance of enjoying life and taking the time to appreciate the beautiful things around us.

So I started from this concept to write this composition: Les plaisirs de la vie (The pleasures of life).

I am very happy to share with you this next song. Indeed, this is my first real musical creation. It was written in 1990, but recorded in my home studio recently. It is still relevant, unfortunately, since it deals with two subjects that are still relevant today: the protection of our beautiful earth and war. In writing this song, I simply wished that we could "Share a tomorrow” together, a literal translation of the title of the song : Partager un lendemain. 

This song has already come a long way. Among other things, it was first sung at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa by my friend Suzanne Séguin during the Ontario Pop contest. It was also performed by my gang from the Spectacle Apollo (from École secondaire Sainte-Marie, New Liskeard) whom I would like to salute. 

Finally, I would like to thank my great friend and the late Claude Charbonneau, who challenged me to write this song. 

In closing, I would like to thank you for your continued encouragement! In all modesty, you are a source of inspiration and I appreciate you very much. Keep writing me comments...I really enjoy reading you. And, please share my posts, if you feel like it, to help me reach even more people.

It's time to present you another of my songs. This one was composed during the course I took with Ryan Tedder last summer. It's called "Seize The Day". It's a phrase I believe in a lot. I hope you enjoy this next song. Please feel free to share this post with your friends. It helps me reach even more people. With summer finally setting in, I'm stepping up my writing.
